One hand clapping

A Poem by Arjun Nepami

One hand clapping

One hand clapping

Persist in one hand clapping

Have knowledge of, doesn't cheer.

Nevertheless, applauding and  clapping

Albeit, the contradiction of life!

You won't find out the round of applause,

Neither, anyone has picked up it,

The applause, been endeavoring till, at the moment,

The sound, not heard up until, at this point

No connotation for applause, in this applause

Why am I, just as, wishing for love?

Love and affection, a twinkling of life

One hand clapping

Inviting for the burst of applause.

The poem originally written by Arjun Nepami, translated to English by Sylvia Razopadhyay
